Welcome to the SAA-SDS 2011-2012 school year in the DLC!
Our Veritas Distance Learning Center (DLC) has transcended the traditional classroom experience at St. Agnes Academy - St. Dominic School and provided opportunities for
global connectivity!
The use of technology is an integral part of our students' everyday life, their learning, and means of social networking. The administration recognized that our students’ educational experience demanded a twenty-first century learning approach. In the fall of 2008, the Distance Learning Center (DLC) was completed as part of the Veritas Research Center, and with this addition, a new world of learning has begun. The introduction of distance learning is transforming the way our students and teachers connect with each other and with the outside world.
We are looking forward to interactively connecting our students to many people and places this year! Our students will continue to experience sharing classroom projects and presentations in the DLC. Whether it is presenting to their classmates or presenting to classmates from afar, they will learn how to be comfortable in this environment while developing skills for a lifetime!
